I have just received an e-mail from Marta Gómez saying she has been speaking to the Vice-Dean and he has told her he is arranging elections for the last week of October, when all new students are supposed to be registered, so it seems we will have to wait until then.

I know, mate. I'll have to tell him today...
But although we have to wait until the last week of October, we can speak between us and choose a class officer "unofficially" so he could speak with Eloy and that stuff..
I will speak to him, as far as I have been representing the class so far, but we will have to wait until the end of October to choose class officer.
